Axiom Sustainable Consulting helps owners, operators, and occupants understand environmental conditions with evidence they can trust and guidance they can act on. We start by listening to what your building is telling you—the complaints, the uncertainties, the questions no one has been able to answer—and then design a sampling program to answer them with confidence. Every measurement is taken with calibrated field equipment and under documented chain-of-custody controls, analyzed by accredited laboratories, and translated into clear, executive-ready findings. No dense data dumps, no jargon—just a precise picture of your building's conditions and a straightforward path to improving them.

Our perspective
The building comes first.
Every property tells a different story. We begin with its people, systems, history, and conditions—not a standard package of tests. A 1950s office with aging mechanicals, a new headquarters pursuing WELL certification, a campus with one floor nobody can quite explain: each calls for a different question, and a different way of answering it.
From a single tenant concern to a portfolio-wide program, our work is designed to stand up to scrutiny and remain easy to act on. We document how and where every sample was collected, work exclusively with accredited laboratories, and review the results against your own standards—so what we hand you is evidence you can defend in front of tenants, investors, or a certification body.
Just as important is what we don't do. We don't sell remediation, we don't inflate findings to create work, and we don't hide behind technical language. Independence is the point: our only product is the truth about your building, and the judgment to help you act on it.
FOUNDER & OWNER
Michael Kawecki
As the last of the original group of WELL Assessors (now WELL Performance Testing Agents), Michael Kawecki has been continuously sampling since the WELL Building Standard launched out of beta in 2015. Founded in 2009 when LEED was the primary sustainable certification system , Axiom Sustainable Consulting originally focused on LEED consulting and LEED Assessments. Axiom has continued to evolve with the market with the development of the WELL Building Standard, Living Building Standard, Green Globes, and other third-party sustainable building certification systems. Michael has more than twenty years of experience working inside commercial buildings—sampling the air, water, and other environmental systems that people rely on every day, and translating the results into decisions owners can act on with confidence.
Over his career, Michael has led environmental sampling and certification programs for multiple companies, before returning to a more direct, hands-on approach through Axiom. His approach is the one Axiom is built on: measure carefully, document everything, and report plainly. He treats independence as a professional obligation, not a sales position—the same standard he now holds every Axiom engagement to.
